Heritage Model Aircraft

This site concentrates on scale model aircraft of the RAF, RCAF and USAAF, during WWII and the Cold War era. The scales range from 1:24 to 1:72. Notable exceptions: the 1:32 CF-18A (modern era), 1:56 Bomarc (a missile) and 1:144 Boeing 747-100 (an airliner), as well as diorama accessories in 1:35 and 1:76.

 

Three main sections of this site: models already produced and reviewed in the on-line magazine and resource centre Scale Modelling Now (SMN), models (WIP) that will be built in the next seven years, and a Gallery of photographs of completed models not reviewed. In the Current projects page, you will find an ever-evolving PDF document relating to my most ambitious project: the 1:32 B-17G diorama 5 years in the making, destined for Washington, DC.

All my models are in museums in Canada and abroad, or in the hands of private collectors. I will entertain two more commissions only.
