Heritage Model Aircraft and the Montreal Aviation Museum are jointly gifting a
1:32 scale McDonnell Douglas CF-18A to its pilot, Chris Hadfield; he flew
“188727”, depicted below, in the mid-1980s, while with 425 Squadron. This model,
and its custom display case, should be completed by June 2022. The kit,
Academy 12107, was released in 2012, and includes an excellent Cartograf decal
sheet, complete with CAF markings. To date, no extensive review of the kit exists;
hence, my +/- 80-page effort for Scale Modelling Now will be a first; IPMS Canada
plans to publish a condensed version of this review in their print magazine
